This policy explains how Doczilla and its affiliates (“Doczilla”, “we”, “us”, “our”) use cookies and similar tracking technologies (“cookies”) on our websites and online services.
This policy applies to all sites and services we operate, including https://au.doczilla.co and any sub-domains, workspaces, help centre pages, plugins, or pages that link to this Cookie Policy (collectively, the “Doczilla Sites”).
Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They perform functions such as keeping you signed in, remembering preferences, measuring site performance, and helping us show content and offers that are more relevant to you.
We also use similar technologies that operate like cookies:
- Web beacons / pixels / clear GIFs – tiny graphics embedded in pages or emails that help us understand usage and campaign effectiveness.
- Local storage & session storage – browser-based storage used for settings and state.
- SDKs – code modules used in apps or certain embedded experiences.
References to “cookies” in this policy include all of the above.
We group cookies used on Doczilla Sites into these categories:
- Strictly Necessary (Essential)
These cookies are needed for the site to function (e.g., page navigation, secure login, load balancing, fraud prevention, and user authentication). You can set your browser to block these, but parts of the site won’t work.
- Preferences (Functional)
Remember choices such as language, region, accessibility settings, and UI preferences to provide a more tailored experience.
- Statistics & Performance (Analytics)
Help us understand how the Doczilla Sites are used (pages visited, time on page, search terms, download or purchase funnels, crashes) so we can improve speed, content relevance, and usability. Data is typically aggregated or de-identified.
- Marketing (Advertising & Personalisation)
Used to:
- Measure the effectiveness of our marketing and affiliate programs.
- Show more relevant Doczilla ads and recommendations on our sites and, where permitted, on third-party sites.
- Limit how often you see an ad and help us understand campaign performance.
These may involve setting or reading identifiers that allow us or authorised partners to understand your interactions across sites and sessions.
3) What information cookies collect
Depending on the cookie category, we may collect information such as:
- Pages visited, buttons clicked, searches and filters used, items viewed or downloaded, time on page, and navigation paths.
- Device, browser and network details (e.g., device type, operating system, browser type and version, screen size, time zone, IP address, session IDs).
- Language and region preferences.
- Form fields you choose to submit (e.g., your Doczilla username or email in login forms).
- General location (derived from IP address).
Where required by law, we obtain your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
4) Managing your cookie preferences
You control your cookie choices in several ways:
- Cookie Banner / Settings
- Use the cookie banner shown on first visit (or the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of any Doczilla page) to enable/disable non-essential categories (Preferences, Statistics, Marketing).
- Changes take effect for future activity in that browser on that domain. If you previously allowed a category and later turn it off, we’ll stop using that category going forward but may still retain data already collected consistent with our Privacy Policy.
- Multiple Domains & Browsers
- Preferences you set on one Doczilla domain or sub-domain may not automatically apply to a different domain; you may see the banner again on other Doczilla domains.
- Preferences are browser-specific. If you switch browsers or devices, you’ll need to set preferences again.
- Ad Blockers & Browser Controls
- Ad blockers or privacy extensions can interfere with the banner. If the banner does not appear or settings don’t seem to “stick,” temporarily disable such tools and re-save preferences.
- You can also control cookies via your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may break core features (log-in, cart, downloads, licence registration, etc.).
5) “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” (US state laws)
Doczilla does not sell your personal information. Some US state privacy laws (e.g., California) may treat certain advertising or analytics activities as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
If you wish to opt out of this kind of “sharing” on Doczilla Sites:
- Open “Cookie Settings” in the footer and turn off Marketing cookies, then click Save preferences; and
- Email privacy@au.doczilla.co with the subject line “Do not sell or share my personal information” and include your name, the email associated with your Doczilla account, and the Doczilla service(s) you use. An authorised agent may submit the request on your behalf if they provide proof of authorisation.
Further details on how we handle personal data are set out in our Privacy Policy.
6) Global Privacy Control (GPC) & Do Not Track (DNT)
- GPC: Where technically feasible and legally required, we treat a valid Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of “sharing” for cross-context advertising on that browser, which functions similarly to turning off Marketing cookies via our banner.
- DNT: Industry standards for DNT are not uniform; we currently do not respond to DNT signals. Please use the Cookie Settings controls described above.
Cookies have different lifespans. Some are session cookies (deleted when you close your browser). Others are persistent cookies (remain until they expire or you delete them). We set durations appropriate to their purpose and legal requirements.
We may allow carefully selected service providers (e.g., analytics, measurement, fraud prevention, payment, and ad partners) to set cookies subject to your preferences and the law. We contractually require such providers to handle data in compliance with applicable laws and with Doczilla’s instructions. The specific partners we use may change over time.
We may update this Cookie Policy periodically (for example, to reflect changes in technologies, partners, or laws). The “Last revised” date at the top tells you when it was last updated. If changes materially affect your choices or rights, we will provide reasonable notice where required.
