1.1 Hi, we’re Doczilla. This Fair Use Policy (“Policy”) applies to all users of https://au.doczilla.co and any Doczilla products, sites, or services that reference this Policy (collectively, the “Doczilla Sites”).
1.2 This Policy forms part of the Doczilla User Terms, the Doczilla Templates License, the Acceptable Use Policy, and any plan-specific terms. Using Doczilla means you agree to this Policy.
1.3 Capitalised terms have the meanings in Section 11 (Definitions) or the User Terms.
2.1 Doczilla exists to provide a high-quality library of professional Templates.
2.2 This Policy is designed to ensure fair access for all Subscribers and fair compensation for Authors by preventing abuse, hoarding, scraping, or other activity that undermines the Doczilla ecosystem.
2.3 In short: Download only what you reasonably intend to use, and only while you have an active subscription, and register each Template to a specific project/end use as required by the License.
3.1 Active subscription required. You may download and register Templates only while your subscription is active.
3.2 Project registration. A Template must be registered to a specific project or end use at or before first use, as required by the Doczilla Templates License. If you use a Template in multiple projects, register it for each project.
3.3 No stockpiling. Do not mass-download Templates “just in case,” to build a private archive, or to use after your subscription ends.
3.4 Intended use only. Download Templates only when you have a good-faith, identifiable intended use (e.g., an active engagement, a defined internal initiative, or a scoped upcoming deliverable).
3.5 No automated harvesting. Do not use scripts, bots, headless browsers, or similar means to scrape, mirror, or bulk-download the library or significant portions of it.
3.6 No redistribution of the library. You must not upload Templates (or materially similar derivatives) to any other library, marketplace, file-sharing site, internal shared drive intended to substitute for Doczilla, or AI training set.
3.7 Seats and sharing. Single-seat plans are for one natural person. Team/Enterprise seats may not be shared concurrently by multiple users; each person needs their own licensed seat.
3.8 Previews vs. licensed files. Use preview files to evaluate suitability. Don’t deploy previews in production or remove watermarks/protections.
3.9 End Product continuity. If you complete an End Product while your subscription is active, the license for that End Product continues as described in the Doczilla Templates License. You may not start new uses or new projects after your subscription ends.
3.10 AI restrictions. Except where Doczilla has explicitly authorised, you may not use Templates (or their substantial parts) to train, fine-tune, or evaluate AI or machine-learning models.
4) Examples of inappropriate use (non-exhaustive)
4.1 Initiating hundreds of downloads in a short period with no corresponding project registrations or usage.
4.2 Downloading “everything in a category” to make an internal archive or to avoid future subscription fees.
4.3 Using automation to scrape previews, titles, metadata, or licensed files.
4.4 Registering Templates to vague placeholders with no real project (e.g., “TBD Project A/B/C”).
4.5 Sharing your login or files with unlicensed team members, clients, or third parties as a substitute for their own subscription.
4.6 Uploading Templates (or near-identical derivatives) to other sites, internal repositories, or making them available for free or resale.
4.7 Downloading during a trial or promotion for the purpose of long-term use after cancellation.
5) Examples of legitimate high-volume use
5.1 Large client onboarding with many deliverables under tight deadlines.
5.2 Internal transformation project (e.g., firm-wide policy & template unification) with documented scope.
5.3 Regulated-industry engagements requiring multiple versions per business unit, state, or compliance regime.
5.4 Seasonal surges (e.g., tax time) with numerous client packages derived from registered projects.
Tip: If your use will be unusually heavy, contact support@au.doczilla.co in advance to minimise disruption.
6) How Doczilla monitors and reviews
6.1 We use a combination of automated signals and human review to detect unusual patterns (e.g., abnormal download rates, low project registration ratio, repeated failed license checks, or scraping indicators).
6.2 Where appropriate, we may contact you to understand your use case and may request non-confidential context (e.g., number of active client files, project identifiers, timelines).
6.3 We aim to balance ecosystem protection with minimising friction for genuine professional workflows.
7) What happens if we suspect a breach
7.1 Without limiting any rights under the User Terms or law, we may take one or more of the following actions (case-by-case, acting reasonably):
a) Warn you and request remediation (e.g., register projects, reduce download volume, cease automation).
b) Temporarily rate-limit or pause downloads while we investigate.
c) Require additional seats where seat sharing is suspected.
d) Suspend or terminate your account or subscription.
e) Revoke licenses obtained in breach and require deletion of affected files/derivatives.
f) Restrict future eligibility for promotions, trials, or volume pricing.
g) Pursue other remedies available in contract or law (including IP enforcement).
7.2 If we imposed a restriction due to suspected abuse and later confirm your use was legitimate, we’ll promptly lift restrictions.
8.1 If you believe a decision was made in error, email support@au.doczilla.co or respond to our notice to appeal within 30 days.
8.2 Provide relevant details (account email, timeframe at issue, sample project IDs, brief context).
8.3 We’ll review appeals in good faith and respond with our determination and any remediation steps.
9) Best-practice tips to stay within fair use
9.1 Register early. As soon as you decide to use a Template for a real deliverable, register it to that project.
9.2 Keep notes. Maintain light project context (client/job code, engagement name) so you can readily demonstrate legitimate use if asked.
9.3 Use previews first. Evaluate with previews; download licensed files once you commit.
9.4 Right-size your plan. If multiple people need access, upgrade to a Team or Enterprise plan so each person has a seat.
9.5 Don’t cache the library. Bookmark Collections instead—don’t replicate Doczilla’s catalog internally.
10) Relationship to other terms
10.1 This Policy supplements the Doczilla User Terms, Templates License, and Acceptable Use Policy. If there’s a conflict, the User Terms and Templates License prevail for licensing and permitted use.
10.2 Nothing in this Policy limits Doczilla’s rights to enforce its agreements, protect intellectual property, or ensure platform integrity.
- Author: A Member who offers Templates on Doczilla.
- End Product: A final deliverable created using a Template, in accordance with the Templates License.
- Member: A registered account holder on Doczilla.
- Project Registration: The record associating a Template to a specific project/end use as required by the Templates License.
- Subscriber: A Member with an active paid subscription.
- Template(s): Professional, editable documents or files available on Doczilla (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, PDF, etc.).
- User/you: Any person accessing or using the Doczilla Sites.
