1) Welcome to Doczilla’s Privacy Policy

Hi, we’re Doczilla. This policy explains how Doczilla and/or its affiliates and/or nominees (“Doczilla”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use Doczilla.co and our related products, features, and services, including the Doczilla marketplace for professional templates, author tools, support portals, AI-assisted features, and any software, applications, extensions, or plug-ins we operate now or in the future (together, the “Doczilla Services”).

When we say “policy” we mean this privacy policy. When we say “user terms” we mean the rules that apply to your use of specific Doczilla Services (e.g., Doczilla User Terms, Templates License, Acceptable Use Policy, Fair Use Policy). Those are separate from this policy and are presented to you when you use the relevant services.

2) Scope

2.1 This policy applies where Doczilla acts as a controller/business of your personal information—for example, your account data, billing details, marketplace activity, and interactions with our sites or apps.

2.2 This policy does not apply to processing governed by a separate agreement (e.g., a data processing agreement “DPA” where Doczilla acts as a processor on your instructions for enterprise arrangements).

2.3 Where we use payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal/Braintree, or other providers) to facilitate transactions, those providers may act as independent controllers for certain processing (e.g., fraud checks, charge handling). Please review their privacy notices.

3) Who we are

Doczilla”, “we”, “us”, or “our” means Doczilla and/or its affiliates and/or nominees. Our primary website is https://au.doczilla.co. You can reach our privacy team at privacy@au.doczilla.co.

4) The information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information (as permitted by law and as you choose to provide):

  • Account & identity details: name, username, password, email, phone, address, country/region, date of birth (where required).
  • Professional/author information: portfolio/profile content, biography, credentials, business registration and tax details (e.g., ABN/EIN/VAT), payout information (excluding full payment card numbers which are handled by payment processors).
  • Marketplace activity & content: searches, views, downloads, registrations of templates for end products, reviews, ratings, support tickets, forum/community posts (where applicable), and any content you direct us to display (e.g., author store description).
  • Device & usage data: IP address, device identifiers, browser type/version, operating system, language, referral URLs, pages viewed, time spent, clickstream, and interaction with emails and web pages (via cookies, pixels, SDKs—see Cookie Policy).
  • Communications: messages you send to us (support requests, feedback, surveys) and, where provided, communications between buyers and authors via Doczilla’s tools.
  • Job applicant data: CV/resume, application details, interview notes, references, background check information (as permitted by law), and employment eligibility information.
  • Identity verification (Authors/Sellers): with your explicit consent, third-party verification providers (e.g., Persona, Jumio, Veriff or similar) may process government ID images and a “selfie” for biometric comparison. We do not receive or store biometric templates; providers may share verification status and a copy of ID/selfie as needed to satisfy legal or platform integrity requirements.
  • AI interactions: prompts, selections, ratings, and outputs you generate with Doczilla’s AI-assisted features (see “AI features” below).
  • Marketing preferences: your opt-in/opt-out choices, campaign interactions, and attribution data.

5) How we collect information

  • Directly from you: when you create an account, become an Author, complete forms, subscribe, download/register templates, contact support, post in community areas, or apply for roles.
  • Automatically: via cookies and similar technologies when you use Doczilla Services (see Cookie Policy).
  • From third parties: payment processors, identity verification services, anti-fraud vendors, analytics/advertising partners, social sign-in providers (when you link accounts), and, where applicable, enterprise customers or team account owners.

6) Information about Authors (Sellers)

6.1 To protect marketplace integrity and comply with applicable laws (e.g., Know-Your-Business, platform accountability rules), we may collect, verify, display, and/or disclose certain Author details (e.g., legal name, business name, location, contact details, business registration/tax ID) as required.

6.2 Identity verification is performed by third-party providers. With your explicit consent, they may request a government-issued ID and a “selfie” to confirm a match. They do not share biometric templates with us; they may share the verification result and copies of ID/selfie as permitted for audit and legal retention.

7) Personal information we receive from others

We may receive personal information about you from:

  • Payment processors (non-card details like transaction IDs) to process payments and mitigate fraud;
  • Social sign-in providers (e.g., Google, Apple) when you choose to link/login, per your settings with that provider;
  • Anti-fraud and verification partners (risk signals, sanction screening results);
  • Advertising/analytics partners (aggregated or de-identified audience insights; campaign performance);
  • Authors (e.g., model/property releases linked to template content, where relevant);
  • Team/enterprise account owners (user provisioning and role/seat assignments).

8) How we use personal information

We use your information (as permitted by law) to:

Contractual necessity

  • Create and manage your account; provide, operate, and support the Doczilla Services; facilitate downloads/registrations; process payments; deliver purchased/subscribed features; and provide customer support.

Legitimate interests

  • Operate, maintain, and secure our platform; prevent fraud, abuse, and violations; verify identity (including Authors); enforce our terms and policies;
  • Improve Doczilla Services (UX research, analytics, product development);
  • Personalize your experience (e.g., recommended templates, saved preferences);
  • Communicate service updates, feature notices, and respond to inquiries;
  • Train staff and enhance our support and moderation operations;
  • Measure and optimize marketing and advertising performance;
  • Grow our business and understand usage patterns.

AI features

  • Provide AI-assisted search or content suggestions; generate draft outputs from your prompts; improve and evaluate AI features (e.g., quality, safety) using de-identified/aggregated data or as otherwise described in applicable AI terms. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and must be independently reviewed before use.

Legal obligations & rights

  • Comply with laws (sanctions, tax, platform accountability, record retention); respond to lawful requests; detect, investigate, and defend against claims or illegal activity.

Marketing (where permitted/consented)

  • Send you marketing about Doczilla or selected partners; personalize marketing; manage your preferences. You can opt out at any time (see Section 14).

If we cannot collect/use information needed for the above, we may be unable to provide portions of the Doczilla Services to you.

9) When we disclose personal information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • Other users/visitors: limited Author/store information (e.g., display name, country, profile content) to provide marketplace transparency (as required by law and platform rules).
  • Group companies: Doczilla and/or its affiliates and/or nominees, for operations consistent with this policy.
  • Service providers & partners: hosting, security and anti-fraud, identity verification, payment processing, subscription management, analytics, email/SMS tools, customer support tooling, and operational vendors.
  • Professional advisers: lawyers, auditors, insurers, accountants.
  • Team/enterprise account owners: where your seat is provisioned by an organization.
  • Regulators & law enforcement: where required or appropriate to comply with law, protect rights/safety, or respond to lawful requests.
  • Business transferees: in connection with mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, or asset transfers (your information may be part of the transferred assets).
  • Rights holders: to investigate or resolve intellectual property complaints.
  • Others: with your consent or as otherwise permitted by law.

10) International transfers

Doczilla operates globally. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different data-protection laws than your country (including the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, and other locations where Doczilla or service providers operate). Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, or other lawful mechanisms). By using the Doczilla Services, you acknowledge such transfers as described in this policy.

11) Security

We use commercially reasonable organizational, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12) Your rights & choices

Depending on your jurisdiction and subject to legal limits, you may have rights to:

  • Access your personal information;
  • Correct inaccurate data;
  • Delete personal information;
  • Restrict or object to certain processing;
  • Port your data;
  • Opt-out of the sale/sharing of personal information or targeted advertising (where those concepts apply in your region). See Your Privacy Choices link (where available) or email privacy@au.doczilla.co.

We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some rights may be limited by law (e.g., we may keep records to comply with tax, fraud prevention, or legal obligations).

You can view and edit key profile information in your Doczilla account at any time. To close your account or exercise other rights, contact privacy@au.doczilla.co.

13) Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to: provide the Doczilla Services; fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy; comply with legal, tax, and audit obligations; resolve disputes; and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by data type, purpose, and applicable law. When no longer needed, we will delete, de-identify, or anonymize information in line with our retention practices.

14) Marketing preferences

Where permitted by law (or with your consent), we may send you marketing emails about Doczilla or selected partners. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in the email or by contacting privacy@au.doczilla.co. Note: you’ll still receive transactional or service emails (e.g., receipts, critical service notices).

15) Cookies & web analytics

We use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate and improve the Doczilla Services, remember preferences, analyze usage, and (where permitted) personalize content/ads. For details and controls, please see our Cookie Policy. You can manage preferences via our cookie banner or your browser settings (functionality may be impacted if certain cookies are disabled).

We may use analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics) that collect usage data to help us understand site performance and improve our services. Where applicable, you can opt-out using the tools provided by those services (see our Cookie Policy).

We currently do not respond to Do Not Track signals.

16) Information you share publicly or with others

If you post content publicly (e.g., reviews, forums, author pages) or share information with others directly (including social platforms), that information may be seen or used by others. Always review third-party privacy notices and consider what you share.

17) AI features and outputs

When you use Doczilla’s AI-assisted features, your inputs and outputs may be processed by us and/or vetted third-party AI providers to deliver and improve those features, consistent with our terms and this policy. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be relied upon without independent review. You are responsible for ensuring your use of AI outputs is appropriate, non-infringing, and compliant with applicable laws and professional standards.

18) Children

Doczilla is not intended for children under 16 (or higher age as required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact privacy@au.doczilla.co and we will take appropriate steps.

19) California / U.S. state law disclosures

Where U.S. state privacy laws (e.g., California CCPA/CPRA) apply, you may have additional rights (access, delete, correct, portability, limit use of sensitive personal information, opt-out of sale/sharing/targeted advertising). Use the Your Privacy Choices link (where available) or email privacy@au.doczilla.co with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”. We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense; certain advertising or analytics may constitute “sharing” under state law—use the cookie banner and Your Privacy Choices to manage preferences.

20) EU/UK data subjects

Where the EU/UK GDPR applies, Doczilla acts as a controller for the processing described in this policy. We rely on the lawful bases outlined in Sections 8–9 (e.g., contract, legitimate interests, consent where required, and legal obligations). International transfers are safeguarded as described in Section 10. If and when Doczilla appoints an EU/UK representative, we will update this policy; until then, please contact privacy@au.doczilla.co for EU/UK privacy inquiries. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

21) How to contact us (and our Privacy Officer)

  • Email (preferred): privacy@au.doczilla.co

    Please include enough detail to help us verify your identity (or authority, if you’re an authorized agent) and understand your request.

22) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect legal, technical, or business changes. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice as required by law (e.g., via the website or email). The “Last revised” date at the top tells you when this policy was last updated.
