Prohibited Use

This summary explains what you may not do with Templates you download from Doczilla.co (“Doczilla”). It complements (and does not replace) the Doczilla Templates License and the User Terms. If there’s any conflict, the License and User Terms control.

Definitions (plain English):

Template: a professional document from Doczilla (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, Google Docs formats).
End Product: your finished deliverable that incorporates a Template, where the Template is not supplied or extractable as a standalone file.
Subscriber: a Member with an active Doczilla subscription.
For clarity, references to “Templates” and “Professional Templates” are interchangeable.

1) You may not redistribute or resell Templates (standalone or bundled)

No sharing, posting, selling, gifting, or otherwise making Templates available as templates (even if you edited them).
No bundling Templates (or variants) into your own template packs, libraries, kits, or “starter files”—paid or free.
No distributing source files or any format from which the Template can be extracted.

2) No “on-demand / build-your-own” or template-as-a-service offerings

You cannot use Templates to power a service where end users customise, rebrand, or download documents generated from the Template (e.g., self-serve portals, wizard sites, internal or public tools that generate client-ready documents).
The prohibition applies whether the resulting output is digital or printed.

3) No use where the main value is the Template itself

You may not sell merchandise or products (digital or physical) where the principal value is the Template (e.g., selling printed versions or editable copies of the Template as “forms,” “packs,” or “workbooks”).
You may sell or distribute an End Product that incorporates the Template, provided the Template is not extractable and the value lies in your overall deliverable and services.

4) No extraction from End Products

You must not allow a Template embedded in an End Product to be extracted, exported, or reused separately.
Take reasonable technical steps to prevent extraction (e.g., flattening PDFs where appropriate, protecting sheets, removing editable masters when not needed).
Inform clients of their obligations not to extract or reuse Templates outside the licensed End Product.

5) No trademark/service mark claims over Templates

You cannot claim trademark, service mark, or similar rights over any Template or its included elements (icons, clauses, boilerplate text, etc.).
Any brand protection you seek must expressly exclude the Template and its constituent elements.

6) One account = one user (unless you have Team/Enterprise seats)

Do not share your login or files as a workaround for additional seats.
If multiple people need to work with Templates, purchase Team/Enterprise seats and assign them properly.

7) Active subscription required for new uses

You must have an active subscription to:
- download Templates, and
- initiate or register any new project/end use.
If your subscription lapses, you cannot begin new uses or re-download files (licenses that were validly registered and completed as End Products during your active term continue for the life of that End Product—no new uses after cancellation).

8) No AI/ML training or dataset creation

You may not use Templates (in whole or substantial part), their text, structures, or data to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or seed any AI/ML model or dataset—directly or indirectly—unless Doczilla gives explicit written permission.

9) No unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, or harmful use

Do not use Templates for purposes that are illegal, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, exploitative, invasive of privacy, or that suggest false endorsements or create fake identities.
You are responsible for ensuring your End Products comply with applicable laws and sector regulations.

10) No ownership claims over Templates

Authors (or Doczilla where applicable) retain all intellectual property rights.
You cannot claim ownership of a Template, even if modified.

11) No removal of protections or watermarking on previews

Do not remove or circumvent watermarking, DRM, technical protections, or security controls on previews or licensed files.

12) No creation of competing libraries or “substantially similar” derivatives

You may not use Templates to create a competing library, marketplace, or catalogue of templates, or to produce substantially similar derivative templates offered as templates elsewhere (paid or free).

13) No sublicensing of Templates (beyond a client’s limited rights in an End Product)

You cannot sublicense or resell Templates themselves.
You may transfer an End Product to a client with a limited, project-bound sublicense to use the Template as incorporated (Template not extractable), provided your subscription is active at transfer and the client is informed of their obligations.

14) No stockpiling, scraping, or mass-downloading

Don’t download Templates “just in case,” scrape the library, or build an internal archive intended to substitute for Doczilla access.
Automated downloaders, bots, or scripts are prohibited.

15) Installed components, macros, and third-party assets

If a Template includes macros, embedded code, fonts, or other third-party assets, you must comply with any additional terms applicable to those components.
Do not install or deploy included components beyond your licensed seats or in ways that violate third-party licenses.

Examples of prohibited scenarios

Uploading lightly edited Templates to your website as “free resources,” “starter kits,” or “canva-style” editable files.
Running a portal where users input their details and receive a customised contract or report generated from a Doczilla Template.
Selling printed copies of Templates as “books of forms” or “workbooks” whose primary value is the Template content.
Delivering a client report that still contains an extractable, reusable version of the Template file.
Using Template text to seed a proprietary dataset for training an internal document-generation model.
