Doczilla is a professional marketplace for Templates (the “Items”) used by qualified practitioners across accounting, legal, engineering, operations, HR, and other industries. To protect buyers and uphold a consistent standard, Items must meet Doczilla’s Item Quality Expectations before they can be listed or remain available for sale.
Doczilla supports two commercial modes:
- Primary mode (default): Direct sales from Seller → Subscriber/Buyer.
- Secondary/optional mode: Bundled packages curated by Doczilla or in collaboration with other Sellers. Bundles use a different commission structure than standard direct sales; each participating Seller still earns a commission based on Doczilla’s bundle revenue-share model (details provided when a bundle is proposed). Bundling is less common and generally opt-in.
1) What “Item Quality” Means at Doczilla
Item Quality is the degree to which an Item satisfies Doczilla’s standards for:
- Fitness for purpose in real-world professional workflows.
- Accuracy and completeness of content and structure.
- Technical robustness and usability across supported formats (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google formats, PDF forms).
- Compliance with Doczilla’s terms, applicable laws, and third-party rights.
- Professional presentation (branding-neutral, white-label ready, clear documentation).
Quality is not purely subjective; it is anchored to objective review criteria and marketplace evidence (buyer feedback, defect reports, and usage outcomes).
2) How Doczilla Assesses Item Quality
Every submitted or updated Item is reviewed against the following core requirements:
2.1 Information & Presentation
- Clear, accurate listing: concise title, precise description, supported use-cases, and realistic benefits.
- Structured preview assets: high-resolution covers/screens, representative page spreads, screenshots, and/or short walkthroughs.
- Metadata accuracy: relevant tags, categories, industries, and complexity level (beginner/intermediate/advanced).
- White-label readiness: neutral styling, easy brand substitution (logos, colors, headers/footers), and editable placeholders.
2.2 Technical Requirements
- File integrity: opens cleanly without errors, warnings, or missing fonts/add-ins; no macros unless disclosed and necessary.
- Compatibility: saved to widely compatible formats; state dependencies (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, region-specific number/date formats).
- Usability: intuitive layout, instructions inline, clear inputs vs outputs, locked/protected formula ranges where appropriate, and no broken links.
- Performance: spreadsheets reasonably performant (no excessive volatile formulas on large data ranges).
- Versioning: embedded version number/date and changelog in the documentation.
2.3 Legal & Policy Requirements
- Rights clearances: no unSellerised use of third-party IP (text, images, logos, fonts).
- Privacy & confidentiality: no real personal data in sample content.
- Compliance: aligns with Doczilla’s User Terms, License, Acceptable Use Policy, Fair Use Policy, and any jurisdictional requirements the Item claims to address (Sellers must not imply official certification or regulatory endorsement).
2.4 Professional Fitness
- Subject-matter accuracy: domain-correct concepts, calculations, and terminology.
- Practical completeness: includes checklists, definitions, assumptions, and scope notes where needed.
- Edge cases: guidance for common pitfalls, constraints, or variations (e.g., SME vs enterprise scenarios).
- Outcomes-orientation: helps users produce a rigorous end deliverable (e.g., client-ready PDF, board pack slides, reconciled workpaper).
3) Best-Practice Guidelines for Sellers
- Upload only your best work: modern, clean, and consistent design; professional tone; no clutter.
- Documentation matters: include a brief “How to Use” guide, required inputs, optional modules, limitations, and a quick-start checklist.
- Localization notes: where content is jurisdiction-specific, clearly label the scope and provide references or placeholders to adapt for other regions.
- Accessibility: readable fonts, adequate contrast, logical heading hierarchy, alt text for essential visuals where format permits.
- Testing: open in all stated apps/versions; validate formulas; test drop-downs, protection, and print areas; include a small set of dummy data (non-identifiable).
- Maintain over time: keep Items current; ship patches and updates when standards or best practices change; maintain a visible changelog.
- Portfolio hygiene: retire Items that are outdated, duplicated by a superior version, or not aligned with Doczilla’s evolving standards.
4) Listing Types and Commission Models
4.1 Direct Sales (Primary Method)
- Buyers purchase your Item directly from your listing.
- Standard Seller commission applies (see Seller Terms / dashboard for current rates and payout details).
4.2 Bundled Packages (Secondary / Less Common)
- From time to time, Doczilla may curate bundles that include your Item together with other Items (Doczilla-curated or multi-Seller collaborations).
- Bundles use a different commission structure than direct sales (to account for pricing, promotions, and multi-Seller revenue shares).
- Each participating Seller receives a pro-rata commission according to Doczilla’s bundle revenue-share methodology communicated at the time of invitation.
- Participation is typically opt-in; Doczilla will provide bundle terms, pricing, duration, and expected exposure before inclusion.
5) Item Bundling & Splitting Rules
- No artificial splitting: Don’t fragment a single coherent template into multiple micro-listings solely to game search or revenue.
- No artificial bundling: Don’t aggregate large, loosely related Items to inflate perceived value. Bundles must be cohesive and use-case driven.
- Clarity for buyers: spell out exactly what’s included (file list, formats, versions).
- Doczilla review: Doczilla may request re-packaging or reject submissions that violate these principles.
6) Prohibited or Non-Compliant Content (Examples)
- Infringing materials: unlicensed stock, copied text/graphics, third-party logos without permission.
- Deceptive claims: implying regulatory certification, accreditation, or legal adequacy when none exists.
- Hidden risks: macros, scripts, or external connections not disclosed in the listing and documentation.
- Sensitive data: real personal or confidential data in samples.
- Low-effort templates: superficial, thin content without professional utility or demonstrable structure.
- Policy violations: anything contrary to Doczilla’s Platform Policies, Acceptable Use, or License.
7) Review Outcomes & Remediation
- Approved: Item goes live.
- Conditional approval: fix minor issues (e.g., metadata, documentation) within a stated timeframe.
- Revisions requested: substantial changes required before re-review.
- Rejected: does not meet Item Quality Expectations; feedback provided where feasible.
- Post-listing actions: Doczilla may demote, de-list, or remove Items if sustained quality, legal, or buyer-safety concerns arise.
Sellers may appeal material decisions via support; provide evidence, test files, or clarifications to expedite review.
8) Quality Checklist (Quick Reference)
- ✅ Accurate title, description, tags, and industries
- ✅ Clean, modern visuals and representative previews
- ✅ Doc, XLSX, PPTX, Google formats as applicable; PDFs for read-only packs where relevant
- ✅ No errors on open; no undisclosed macros/add-ins; fonts embedded or system-safe
- ✅ Clear instructions, assumptions, limitations, and version info
- ✅ Protected formulas where appropriate; inputs clearly marked
- ✅ Sample data (non-identifiable) for demonstration
- ✅ Rights cleared; no third-party IP misuse
- ✅ White-label placeholders and brand-swap guidance
